HOWLONG STATION:

was formed in 1837 by John Hawdon. The size was estimated to be 64,000 acres in 1848. The only building was a modest slab hut accompanied by yards for cattle mustering. The home that is now referred to as, 'The Homestead Block,' was erected by Alexander Macvean at the Howlong location now known as, 'Kismet.'
